Spider-Man 2 receives an R rating in the UAE.

Spider-Man 2 has been making headlines online lately, especially among Arab gamers. One reason for this was the game's removal from the Saudi store, which raised some doubts. But the game's rating on the UAE store has given us a glimmer of hope, with some caveats.

The UAE PlayStation Store has given Spider-Man 2 a 21+ rating, which is the same rating that was given to the first part of the game from the same country. We know that the UAE has its own rating for entertainment products, so this is not an official global rating for the game, but rather a rating for the country alone, as we will see below.

This rating can have many meanings, for example, it may contain a strong swearing tone and the use of inappropriate words. The game may also contain certain sexual scenes or connotations, as well as scenes of violence and blood. This means that the game is allowed, but with the exceptions that exist as mentioned.

The gaming community is now waiting for the Saudi Audiovisual Commission's opinion because it is the most important one considering the player base there. Furthermore, the game was only removed from the Saudi store, instead of other Arab stores, so we will have to wait.

Furthermore, regarding the Arabic players regarding the game, we learned through the Spider-Man 2 game FAQ section that the Arabic language will be among the fully supported languages. The language will feature Egyptian voice acting, as well as translation of the menus, dialogues, and entire texts. The translation of this part is expected to be in Classical Arabic to cater to all the players of the game who are not comfortable with the Egyptian dialect.

It's worth noting that the game's developers, Insomniac Games, confirmed that they wouldn't be getting a demo before launch, as that confirmation came via a response to a player's question directly via Twitter.

However, pre-orders for the game have been available since last week. The game is available in three versions, but pre-orders for all versions include the unlocked Arachk Night Suit for Peter Parker with three additional colors, an early unlock of Miles Morales' Shadow Spider Suit with three additional color variants, an early unlocked Web Grabber, and three skill points. You can check out all the copies and the contents of each one, as well as the prices, through the online store here.

The game will be available on October 20th this year exclusively on PS5.
