As Microsoft looks to complete its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, interesting Game Pass subscriber numbers have emerged.
In an effort by Sony to allay regulators’ concerns about the acquisition deal, the documents Sony has shared express its deep concerns about the deal and about current and future competition in subscription services. As the Japanese company stated in one of its notes, quoting journalist and author Everborn Saga:
Game Pass is miles ahead of PlayStation Plus. Microsoft already has a big lead in multi-game subscription services.
Game Pass has over 29 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers across consoles and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and is expected to grow significantly in the future.
While PlayStation Plus' gaming subscription tiers lag far behind, with fewer [منقح] subscribers.
These numbers, released by Sony, do not match the previous reports shared by Microsoft, which are superior to them in terms of numbers, as I previously spoke about the arrival of 25 million subscribers to the service.
Sony cited market data, analysis and forecasts from Ampere Analysis. Where it wants to indicate that Microsoft has already achieved this joint achievement with the Game Pass service. Therefore, this means that Xbox will not need content from Activision, such as the shooter title Call of Duty, which could become exclusive only to the Game Pass service.
