Sonic Frontiers was released a few days ago on all platforms involved, but for XBOX Series S players it seems that they are not as excited as before the launch due to the first real disappointment in the game.
We know that the game developer has confirmed that the game will comfortably reach 60 frames per second, but as I expected dear reader... there are performance issues.
Sonic Frontiers only reached 30 frames per second. None of the players found a performance mode or any option to push the tires a bit, unfortunately all the players on the platform have already posted their complaints on Reddit and Twitter, and if you also suffer from the same problem, fortunately there is a solution and it may be just by logging in and playing. Look at the settings of your Xbox Series S and change a few things.
@KatieChrz @sonic hedgehog The Xbox Series S version of the #SonicFrontiers is broken and locked at 30fps instead of 60fps as Microsoft/Sega said.
You can't change Performance/Graphics mode here either! pic.twitter.com/G5TFsXGyVa

Many have contacted Sega Support regarding Sonic Frontiers' performance, and the company has suggested this solution and even pointed out the cause of the issue with 4K displays. If you have a 4K display, it could be the reason for the game's poor performance, all you need to do is go directly to the display settings and change it to 1080p resolution, then the game should run at 60 frames per second.
We don't know at the moment the effect of the method, is the solution permanent? Or is it temporary until a future update is released that will add some changes to the screen resolution and performance, we will find out over time.
