Developer Rare has released a new trailer for Sea of Thieves that details the content coming to the game in its upcoming eighth season. The 9-minute video showcases new features, such as new places to explore and more.

The biggest feature of Sea of Thieves Season 8 is the ability for players to engage in a PvP mode, which means PvP. This mode will put players in the middle of epic ship battles. Players can freely swap out all of their gear and cosmetic items, taking advantage of the new Hourglass of Fate item in the “Captain’s Cabin” on the ship. Selecting your crew indicates that you’re ready for PvP.

Players have all the time to use underwater to ensure their ship is ready for combat and as soon as the opponent is found. It can be detected using the ship's map.

There's no doubt that Sea of Thieves is one of the most successful Xbox titles of this generation, and last year Microsoft told us that it had surpassed the fifteen million player mark. This news may not come as a surprise, given its presence on Xbox Game Pass.

Season 8 of the game will begin on November 22, and all in-game content will be available for free. Sea of Thieves is available on Xbox One PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Game Pass.
