Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that Diablo 4 will receive an open beta period in early 2023. Rumors claim that we could see the start of this beta period as early as February 2023.

Tom Henderson, or as Insider-Gaming is currently known, reported that over 100 journalists watched a behind-the-scenes demo of Diablo 4, and impressions would be released on December 7. As Rod Fergusson, creator of the Diablo series, told attendees to stay tuned during The Game Awards 2022 on December 8 for a further announcement.

The big announcements are early access to the open beta with pre-orders. Also, the collector's edition that has some kind of... candle? I'm not sure 100% what that is.

I wrote April 2023 for the launch, but now I think that may have been a runway/target launch window, with an 8 week variance.

It's believed a release date will be announced at the show, with both XboxEra's Nick Baker and Windows Central's Jez Corden agreeing on an April 2023 release for the game. Both claim to see an announcement at The Game Awards, and according to Corden on his Twitter page, players can get early access to the Open Beta by pre-ordering the Collector's Edition.

But that’s not all. Corden mentioned that the release date may have shifted to June 2023, but he’s “not 100% sure right now.” Either way, Henderson mentioned the PlayStation Store app interface on the backend, which hints at the game’s approaching open beta period.

Diablo 4 will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC… And if the reports are correct, I won't say anything, but stay tuned for more soon.
