Despite downplaying the recent Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks, Rockstar is still cracking down on anyone who posts any of the leaked gameplay footage on popular social platforms.

Through the popular Reddit platform, which is the number one platform for the video game community, and with a page dedicated to covering the latest on Rockstar games, the community was surprised that the official GTA 6 news coverage page on the forum had been suspended.

Forum moderators have confirmed that Rockstar has begun issuing strikes to all pages displaying clips or videos from the recent leaks. Forum moderators confirmed that they have temporarily suspended the game's page to review all posts and remove any Grand Theft Auto 6-related assets.

Rockstar not only accessed pages that showed leaked gameplay footage, but also pages and posts that contained links to external websites and pages containing videos and images of the leaked assets.

Reddit forum administrators have asked participants not to share any Rockstar-related resources, and if they do, their membership will be permanently terminated. They have also asked moderators not to post posts asking visitors to share links to leaked websites, as this will result in their membership being permanently terminated.

It's worth noting that some activists on the GTA 6 Reddit page expressed their sadness at being unable to share analyses and theories about the game based on leaked photos and videos.

Is this step an indication of the imminent reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6?

On the other hand, this could be a strong indication that the leaks may have revealed a large part of the Rockstar project, which it has been keeping secret until now.

Many experts have recently begun publishing findings from analyzing some of the recently leaked videos. The most recent of these was to compare the shape and some areas of the Vice City map compiled through these major leaks to the GTA 5 map.

Additionally, players were able to get some details about the story of the game's main characters through these leaks, which were confirmed by previous leaks.

Earlier this month, renowned leaker Tez2 managed to uncover some details about the game's development, which is believed to have reached its final stages, through some encrypted information that appeared in recent leak files. This information reinforced analysts' expectations that Grand Theft Auto 6 could be revealed later this year, assuming it's released next year or by early 2025 at the latest.

Is Rockstar's move to attack all leaked content that appears online and attempt to remove everything related to it an indication that it's preparing to officially reveal the game soon? This may be somewhat true. However, we don't want to get ahead of ourselves and will be monitoring the internet for any new game-related content that may surface in the coming days, weeks, or even months.

Until then, what are your expectations for this change from Rockstar?
