The Devil In Me Review and Rating An expected end to a strong season.

Bandai Namco has released the third and final season of the first season of its horror series, The Dark Pictures. This installment, titled The Devil In Me, had a strong start. Below, we'll see if it ended strong as well.

We know that each chapter of The Dark Pictures series is very different in terms of story and characters. During the first parts of the first season we went to a shipwreck to discover it, then we moved to Iraq in the second part, and now in our review of the third part, The Devil In Me, we will go to a creepy hotel.

Together, we will discuss some events without burning. We will touch on the characters and their strengths, as well as mention the different characteristics of the previous parts, and much more. Welcome to review and evaluate the game.

The story of this particular game from other previous installments is the best in terms of plot and characters as well. I will not hide from you the number of times I felt scared, at every moment of the game you will feel that you are not really safe.

the story

The game revolves around a film crew made up of several characters, this crew sets out on a mission to make a product about a hotel in which terrible things have happened and several scary rumors have spread about it. They will also investigate a serial killer named HH Holmes.

Historically known as America's first serial killer, Holmes is believed to have killed over 200 victims, and the game treats this historical thriller as fact. The filmmakers travel to an exact replica of the locations mentioned. And any horror fan can predict what will happen from there.

As a player, it will be your responsibility to control the characters of the film crew and also determine their fate, which can be miserable or dangerous, but in the end there is survival. I really want to commend the game development team for what they did with the environment and for making it so scary.

The beauty and danger of the location elevates the game, but it doesn’t stop there. Players are given access to a few other locations, especially in the opening and closing acts. And this creates a certain sense of dread. Isolation is nothing new in horror games, but the setting of Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me is all about it.

The plot of the game

The atmosphere of the place is enhanced by the overall plot of the game, which in turn supports it. It's definitely the best of the anthology and arguably one of the best in the horror game genre. For one thing, it feels like something written for people who are obsessed with true crime TV series, while the game wears its inspiration on horror films like Saw, Halloween, Friday the 13th, and The Shining.

Here we understand that it seems to me that true crime, psychological horror and horrific moments are difficult to reconcile. But The Devil in Me has mastered it masterfully, and the result is a fun and terrifying horror spectacle that will have players screaming “Don’t go there!”

O Diabo Em Mim

To add to the horror, players can find Dark Picture artifacts around the map that give players premonitions of possible deaths. This leaves players debating whether they can trust something as simple as a boat or whether they should search certain rooms.

The team was creative in attaching some horror shots that require the player to take quick action, for example, you will be surprised to see a situation that forces you to avoid the character's quick death, and this obviously gives a longer life based on your choices.

Team Play in The Devil In Me

In cooperative game modes (including online/or up to 5 players in local co-op), players will only control the characters in front of them, in addition to the main cast. The gameplay in general was acceptable, but less than what we were told, but if we want to compare it with the previous two parts, this is the best of them, of course.

O Diabo Em Mim

The graphics of the game have reached a stage that is very close to reality. The developer pays attention to the details of the characters and reflects the feelings of fear on their faces and bodies. This theme was conveyed to me completely while I was playing.

What stood out the most for me in this regard was the design of the environment, the development team made it very dark and terrifying, making you always wonder what is behind a certain corner or wall and such. These visual effects were used for the first time in this part and, based on them, the next parts will be built.

The sounds and musical effects were a bit subdued. Perhaps the team did this deliberately because silence means fear, and this particular element heightens the level of terror in the game.

very good

The Devil In Me game is without a doubt the best part during the first season, despite many negative points that affected the quality of the game.. but it is worth trying, and it is an appropriate choice for fans of psychological horror and suspense games.
