See-Through View Technology

One of the new technologies revealed is See-Through View, which allows players to see gameplay and their surroundings from all directions. This will be useful when you want to easily check where the PS VR2 Sense controllers are in your room without removing the headset.

Thanks to PS VR2's built-in front-facing cameras, users can press a dedicated button on the headset or use the card in the Control Center to toggle between transparent view and displaying content in PS VR2. The card in the Control Center also provides quick access to other PS VR2 settings, such as setting the play area within the room.

Recording and transmission technology

As for the second feature, it is the possibility of recording a video of yourself during the game, and this is done using the PlayStation 5 camera, which is sold separately.

This method can be used by YouTube channel owners and fans posting on social media platforms to record their reaction during gameplay or when engaging in a fight with one of the enemy leaders.

Customize the play area

The play area can be customized using the PS VR2 headset using the PS VR2 Sense controller and built-in cameras. The cameras allow you to scan the room, while the PS VR2 Sense controllers allow you to expand the play area and further customize it to suit your play style and room environment.

During gameplay, if you approach the set limit, you'll receive a warning that you're approaching the play area limit. You can adjust your settings at any time while your PSVR2 is connected. Once you've set your play area, your settings will be saved unless you switch to a different play area.

Game mode and cinematic mode

In VR mode, players can enjoy VR game content in a 360-degree view in a virtual environment. Content will be displayed in 4000 x 2040 video resolution (2000 x 2040 per eye) with HDR support at 90/120Hz frame rate.
