It seems that Capcom is planning to release additional DLC for its upcoming game, Resident Evil 4 Remake. With a hint from the same company on the Xbox platform, there is a clear intention to support remakes even after launch.
In its post, which you can see below, the company used keywords indicating its intention to release additional DLC content for its upcoming game, Resident Evil 4 Remake. Capcom indicated that it is reserving some “treasures” in the remake that will launch with it, and some that will be released post-launch.
The company’s hint may be that the treasure map will only be available in the Deluxe Edition of the game as per its listing on the Xbox Store. But the company’s description refers to a treasure that “can only be obtained this way.” In other words, if you don’t have the DLC for this map… you probably won’t be able to get the treasure.
Another, stronger theory is that this additional content may not be anecdotal, but simply purchasable content that relieves the player of having to search for treasures in the game and tells them where they are. This mechanic is exactly the same as the content in previous remakes, when you could buy weapons with infinite ammo in the form of paid content... instead of searching for them and taking more time.
In any case, in both cases, this will be a positive initial step for the company, although we hope to get a new storyline. We remind you that the game will be released next March 24 on PlayStation for both generations, Xbox Series and PC.
Do you support the idea of remakes receiving additional paid content that adds new regions, for example?
