Resident Evil 4 Remake is Getting a Puzzle Game Near Release

Ahead of Resident Evil 4 Remake's release later this month, Capcom appears to have released a puzzle game on the game's pre-release website. It's actually an ARG, or alternative reality game, as it's called. Players can visit the website here to take part in a short experience that tells a story about Ashley Graham's kidnapping, and the puzzles primarily contribute to Resident Evil 4's plot.

The game description follows:

At Secure Agent Gate, players will be able to see several different messages with highly classified clues.

At the time of this writing, the ARG website appears to be in its infancy. However, more answers will likely be uncovered as more mysteries about Resident Evil 4 Remake are solved.

To put it in context, an Alternate Reality Game, or ARG, is a game in which no stage is lost and all puzzles must be solved to advance to the next stage. Gameplay revolves around finding clues by solving mysterious puzzles scattered throughout the game, and when you find an answer, it's best to write it down immediately. Alternate reality games have a distinct flavor from the indie horror scene, but major companies rarely use this to market major titles.

Resident Evil 4 is set to release on March 24th for PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X/S. We recently learned that Xbox platforms have started pre-loading the game, as it requires around 67 GB of storage space.
