Developer Arkane has revealed that upcoming co-op shooter Redfall will support cross-platform play and between all versions of the game, in response to a question posed to them via Twitter.
The studio revealed that Redfall will bring players closer together by playing with their friends, regardless of their version or whether they're on Steam, PC Game Pass, Xbox, or Epic Games Store.
You can definitely play with your friends on Steam… join your friends wherever they are.
The question was asked as part of a Q&A thread the studio was running with its community via Discord, and the variety of questions ranged from how the developer worked on the enemy difficulty meter to create cooperation between players, to weapon diversity, to cosmetic character customization.
Redfall is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 2, and the co-op shooter has seen few details about its release in the lead up to its launch. Even Xbox boss Phil Spencer previously hinted at the importance of the game being a first-party addition to the Game Pass service.
🤝 Crossplay confirmed between Xbox + PC Game Pass + Steam + Epic Game Store.

It's worth noting that Xbox officially revealed a week ago that the PC Game Pass subscription service is coming to 40 new countries, which will give more freedom to larger countries instead of using these countries for different regions like America and others. The service has 40 countries, including Egypt, Algeria, Bahrain, some Gulf countries and some countries we haven't seen before.
