Last night, Sony and Insomniac revealed the second Marvel's Spider-Man 2 movie at Comic-Con and shared a bunch of new footage of some of the characters, including the all-time mystery, Venum.

Through the new show that you can watch below, we got to see many characters up close, especially the two heroes, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, but this time without them under the Spider-Man mask. Of course, you will notice how carefully the characters are designed in their new look.

Furthermore, among the characters that appeared in the second reveal of the game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was Mary Jane, who impresses with the precision of the design and the emergence of details thanks to the techniques of the game engine that was developed to match the capabilities of the PlayStation 5.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Story Details

• The events of the game take place 9-10 months after the previous part.
• Both Peter and Miles will be in full force.
• The two heroes are trying to control their own lives.
• There will be a direct confrontation between Peter Parker and Mr. Negative, who killed his father.
• Peter Parker gets this new power and starts pushing people away from him.
• Please note that there are 3 major cities in the game, Brooklyn, Queens and Coney Island.
• Venom will be more powerful and intense in its destruction, and the character's interpreter, Tony Todd, indicated that he wanted to feel the emotion and pleasure through the character he represents.

Developers at Insomniac have confirmed that they are working hard to deliver an unprecedented visual experience in the world of Spider-Man, starting with New York City, which has been packed with details borrowed entirely from the original look of the giant city.

There will be a complete design of three areas in New York City: Brooklyn, Queens and finally Coney Island. The developer has confirmed that we will witness an incredible representation of these cities. While many of the original details have been quoted and carefully redesigned on the inside, with cities enriched with details, lighting and figures that will make the gameplay more enjoyable.

The most exciting part of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 reveal event was the first appearance of the black monster Venom, who the developers confirmed would look the same throughout the game. But while Venom is the main adversary, he's not the only one in the game, as Kraven appears as the stubborn adversary and the hunters who accompany him in the city. From here, Spider-Man and Mary Jane begin to search for the reasons for the emergence of Carvin and his gang, but in the meantime, a new thing appears that threatens the city, which is the symbiote.

Director of Narrative John Buckettvi shared with us some details about the beginning of the story, the extent of the interconnection between the characters and the way events unfolded, as he said:

Peter Parker and Miles Morales struggle with their personal lives. Miles tries to find time to write his college application essay, but keeps procrastinating and focusing on his Spider-Man coin. Meanwhile, Peter is overwhelmed with Aunt May’s house payments while he can’t sell the house, which worries him greatly. Like Miles, Peter tries to balance his many responsibilities. Mary Jane wants to help Peter with the mortgage, but her job is on the line now that Jonah Jameson is back in the Bugle and expects a lot of changes. Our heroes have reached a crossroads, with an uncertain future and some tough decisions ahead.”

Pre-orders for special copies and all accessories will be available for pre-order starting next Friday, July 28th. Although it will be officially released and pre-orders will be delivered on August 1st.

Spider-Man 2 will arrive exclusively on PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023.
