The popular battle royale game PUBG, version 22.2, will be available soon. On this occasion, the developer revealed some details about the new content, as well as a presentation highlighting it.

The update will initially roll out to PC owners on March 14, while it will be available to home appliance owners on the 23rd of this month.

The most important thing coming in PUBG update #22.2

• Modifications to some weapons.
• Gifts and rewards on the occasion of the game's sixth anniversary.
• New weapon.
• The return of the intense Battle Royale mode.

The new FAMAS weapon is the latest addition to the Care Pack items in the new update. This powerful and stylish French-made assault rifle boasts a high rate of fire, making it a powerful weapon to consider in a variety of combat situations.

With its unique design and lethal capabilities, FAMAS will be the weapon of choice for all those looking for a reliable weapon to dominate their enemies on the battlefield.

The fire rate can be adjusted to the player's liking, from single to triple to automatic fire. A 6X viewfinder and other modifications can also be added.

The FAMAS weapon can only be obtained from Support Packs, Secret Rooms, Lab Camps, Air Supply, and Pillar Chests. The weapon will be available on all maps, in addition to regular ranked matches, training mode, team deathmatch, custom matches, and sandbox mode. It will not be available in custom competitions or esports mode.

Additionally, within PUBG update No. 22.2, the balance of several weapons in the game will be adjusted in order to improve the gameplay experience in several phases, which will be as follows:

AUG weapon

• The weapon has been removed from support packs and will now be available on the map.
• Damage: 42 ← 41
• Rate of fire: 700 → 750
• Bullet speed: 940 m/s → 890 m/s
• Effective range: 90~500 → 60~450
• Available on all maps.
• The jump was increased.

M416 weapon

• Damage: 41 ← 40
• Horizontal jump has been increased.

Mutant M16A4 and Mk47

• RPM: 600 → 800

p90 gun

• Added Support Packs and Secret Rooms in Ranked matches.
• Fixed an issue where the P90 weapon at a certain rate in support packs should not appear correctly.
• At least 200 rounds of ammunition will appear with the P90.

Map changes

As we celebrate PUBG's 6th anniversary with you, decorative items like billboards and more have been added to the Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok maps.

Several hills have also been added to the valley between Barclift and Turrita on the Disston map to further reduce sightlines while traveling between the towns and to make travel safer. A dirt track has been added to the peninsula south of Sankarna to help block sightlines and create an interesting space to cross as you navigate the flatland area between the main road and the hill.

The Erangel Hall of Fame has also been updated to commemorate the winning team, Natus Vincere, of the 2022 PGC Championship.

Bonus adjustment

• Regular Bonus: Instead of the usual Battle Points, you'll now receive one supply loot shop for each level, regardless of your level. You'll receive a maximum of 499 supply loot shops!

• Level Up Bonus: Earn a Survival Proficiency Medal. The medal will update with each level you level up.

PUBG Update 22.2 Improvements

• The overview page in the 'Career' and 'Profile' tabs will display your current rank on the season leaderboard. Your highest rank ever achieved will also be displayed.
• The rate of experience points you receive for each weapon has been reset; so that everyone has equal weapon proficiency.
• Added jammer pack category for customization.
• The Career Biography – Al Najat page has been removed.
• Claimed rewards will be automatically credited to your customization page.

General improvements

• General game bugs have been fixed.
• Option to make explosion smoke effects appear normal depending on the weather, unavailable in certain weather conditions. Reintroduced to the game, now available again on the following maps:
  • Miramar – clear weather
  • Taegu – clear weather
  • Disston – cloudy
  • Karaken – sunset
  • Training Mode – Sunset
• Fixed crashes, performance, and more general issues with Training Mode.
• Fixed an issue where attacks from a certain range would pass through cover, damaging you.
