Temporary exclusivity deals for third-party titles are no stranger to Sony, with plenty of such games out there that are either set to release this year or still in development. But one game that topped this list is Final Fantasy 16.
In an interview with 4Gamer, producer Naoki Yoshida shed some light on why Square Enix signed an exclusive deal with Sony in the first place. Yoshida revealed that Final Fantasy 16 received development support from Sony. PlayStation engineers provided “generous support” to improve the game on PS5 hardware. This was a big factor in Square Enix signing the exclusive deal. While Yoshida noted that Sony’s support also helped the development team focus more on producing and improving the game.
Final Fantasy 16's timed exclusivity on PS5 lasts for six months, but Yoshida also recently clarified that this doesn't mean the game will be released on PC after those six months are up. While the PC version is something Square Enix intends to release eventually, it will take much longer to perfect than that.

The game's producer, Yoshida, added that anyone who wants to play the game on the PC platform will definitely have to own a PC that costs at least $ 2,000! To enjoy the same features, graphics levels, and performance that the PlayStation 5 will offer, he advised gamers to go ahead and buy the PS5.
