PlayStation Studio Bluepoint Reassures Audiences, Bloodborne Fans Are Disappointed

Bluepoint Games is one of PlayStation's standout studios, especially after the re-release of Demon's Souls, which dazzled audiences with its visual improvements over the original game. This increased Sony's confidence in this ambitious team, as they had previously been given the green light to work on a special title away from the re-releases and remakes they had been doing at the beginning of their career.
However, several years after we confirmed that the studio was working on its own original project, we received no updates. With the wave of closures, layoffs, and restructurings affecting many companies, including Sony and PlayStation Studios, there were concerns that this would affect Bluepoint Games and its new, unannounced project.
Today and through a response from Pedro Dalton The head of technology at Bluepoint Games studio confirmed that there have been no changes at the studio and they are now working full force on this new and original project.
Dalton said:
Nothing has changed since our statement that we are working on our original title. Everything takes time. We are committed to honing our skills!
Although the news pleased fans of the studio's work, it was shocking for another audience, namely Bloodborne fans, who believed that the studio was working to re-release the game on the PlayStation 5 platform, but it seems that is not the case.
This comes at a time when Sony and PlayStation are facing heavy criticism from the public for their delay in revealing projects from their main AAA studios or announcing any future events like the Showcase for that purpose.
Criticism intensified after Microsoft held a special Xbox event during which it revealed many different titles that will be released on its platforms and PC, some of which will come to other platforms.
Sony is rumored to be holding a major Showcase event during the month of September this year, and this could be the date when this game project from Bluepoint Games will be revealed, along with other projects.
Are you excited about Bluepoint Games Studio’s new project, or will you join the team that feels disappointed to learn that the Bloodborne remake isn’t their next project? Let us know in the comments section below.
