Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel in The Last of Us, has started hinting that filming for season two will begin soon.
The series has become the talk of the town in recent weeks, and will continue to do so in the coming weeks, as the end approaches, which will bring many influential and interesting situations. We do not rule out that it will be closed drastically, so that the door remains open to connect with the second season, which has already been given the green light.
The great success of the series led HBO to quickly approve the second season of The Last of Us, which should begin filming this year, at least that's what the series' hero said. Peter Pascal.
We may not have to wait too long for season 2. Speaking to Collider, he was asked about the chances of filming season 2 of The Last of Us this year. While he didn't say for sure that it would happen, he did hint that it could indeed happen this year.
“In 2023?” Pascal asked. “Oh, what season are we in now? Are we entering spring? Yes, there is a chance. Yes.”
The official announcement of the series' second season may have been preceded by giving Druckmann and Mazen the green light to work on the script, while it was announced to the public after the second episode aired.
The second season will cover the events of the second part of the game, and this also means that we can start to meet the new characters who will take on the roles in the new season, especially the character “Abi”, who we do not rule out that she will be exposed to a lot of harassment because of her role.
If work begins this year, and that is what Pascal suggests, we cannot wait too long to start showing the second season, especially because it keeps the atmosphere of excitement and suspense alive after the end of the first season, of which there are only two episodes left, which will be shown in the next two weeks.
