TEKKEN8's release date is still unknown at this time, but Bandai Namco continues to give players an excellent taste of what we'll experience in the next installment. The latest overview introduces us to veteran Jin Kazama and his fighting skills.

Yesterday, Japanese publisher Bandai Namco shared with us a new promotional clip from the highly anticipated fighting game TEKKEN 8, in which we get a look at the character Jin Kazama and a review of his fighting style.

The upcoming game will retain its veteran characters from previous installments in the series. It will also introduce a group of new characters with different combat abilities. However, the old characters have been redesigned, and several abilities have been added to them, as seen below, a rework of Jin Kazama's fight.

These videos are part of several programs the company releases for various fighters and personalities. Last week, we also received an analysis of veteran character Kazuya, and we expect to see more analyses of other characters in the coming weeks.

It's worth noting that the game is developed using Unreal Engine 5, which is currently popular in current-generation game development. Furthermore, the next installment will use this engine for the first time, as the previous installments were all developed using the fourth-generation engine.

TEKKEN 8 takes place after the terrible battle that ended in Heihachi Mishima's defeat, this time focusing on a new competition between father and son, as Jin Kazama challenges Kazuya Mishima's quest for world domination.

Katsuhiro Harada, Chief Producer at Bandai Namco Studios, said:

We’re incredibly excited to show you the next generation of TEKKEN. The team at Bandai Namco Studios has been hard at work bringing innovative new features to TEKKEN 8, continually enhancing the feeling of power in battle by harnessing the power of the latest generation of consoles. We can’t wait to show you more in the coming months!

TEKKEN 8 is in development for PS5, Xbox Series and PC, and is expected to be released before April 2024. What do you think of the new veteran characters' looks and fighting skills?
