Genshin Impact players are obviously very unhappy with the game's increasing files with each new update, the game's frequent update schedule continues to feature new releases every 6-7 weeks.

Recently, the game's attention to detail, especially in the recently introduced Sumeru area, has greatly increased the impact of Genshin Impact's overall file size calculation, Reddit user demiwaltz has started an interesting discussion on this topic at subReddit The official game.

Players have shared an image showing that the game’s file size is 47.9 GB. Currently, two replies in the comments section claim that they have been playing the game since version 1.0 and that the file size is around 75 GB. All of the audio files installed (language-specific) can take up a significant chunk of storage space. For example, the English audio files returned in Genshin Impact 3.0 were ~8 GB, meaning that players who delete three of the four audio languages can save a lot of space on their device.

Holy shit, Genshin Impact PC already takes up 50GB of space?? from Genshin_Impact

A couple of comments state that developer HoYverse should add an option for players to delete audio files from previous quests because they likely won't be able to restore them in the future, and players on the mobile version of Genshin Impact will likely be affected by large files, but they can free up some space by deleting and redownloading the game. As each new update arrives

The game is expected to grow even more in the future, especially considering that the game has only introduced four of the seven major regions.

Available Genshin Impact Now for mobile and PC, PS4, PS5 and a Nintendo Switch version is in development.
