CD Project Red has confirmed that the upcoming The Witcher Remake game will feature an open world. This information was shared among team members during the most recent financial report meeting.
The studio previously revealed that the upcoming Witcher remake will be developed using Unreal Engine 5. But it recently said in its fiscal Q3 earnings report that it will have a strong story and an open world. This confirmation from the team comes after much doubt about the identity of the remake, especially since the original version was not an open world.
Unfortunately, the team did not release any additional information, but promised to reveal more information later this year. he added Adam Padowski The studio head, speaking about the original game and the remake, had the following to say:
Coming back to this place and remaking the game for the next generation of players to experience feels just as big, if not even bigger.
The game is still in the early stages of development. But the developer aims to provide a wonderful remake for the players with a completely new look.
The remake will come with the (not final) name, which is Canis Majoris, as the developer still believes that the stage of choosing a surname for the remake is far away at that moment. Therefore, the developer invites players to be patient until the moment when the project is fully disclosed and the details are announced.
There are no photos or videos of the new version yet, but we invite players to stay tuned as the team will do everything they can to showcase a strong product. Do you think the graphics will be completely different, as well as the gameplay…?
