We know Sony has a Spider-Man title coming this fall, but Helldivers 2 can't be left out of the fray of the few PS5 releases for 2023. Today, on the PlayStation blog, the developer wanted to reveal more details about its game, which focuses on the mechanics of cooperative play along with the fighting style itself.

Community manager Katherine Baskin mentioned that crafting gear in Helldivers 2 is part of the mission, because the game's weapons won't be based on satisfying the player's desires as much as the mission itself will require enemies or stages that require certain tools. At the same time, the game focuses on cooperation to complement the elements chosen by the player at the beginning of the mission, and cooperation between friends can create good fighting styles based on certain movements and timing.

Katherine Baskin mentioned an example of this. The battle can get intense and when the player needs support through exchange of fire or supporting him with a shield or something similar. It is worth mentioning that the co-op mode will include a maximum of 4 players to play together, as this indicates the clear desire of the developer to have a strategy when playing Helldivers 2.

An interesting feature was also mentioned, which is Reinforce, this feature simply helps the player at the time of his death to contact a new Helldiver, after which he can enter the same old location where the player died and get the resources that were collected.

Not only will you have co-op combat, but you’ll also have co-op objectives to tackle with your team. You’ll be able to share locations with each other and move around the map together. You’ll also find optional objectives to complete, which require a little detour with your teammates and, of course, require more ammo. But you’ll be rewarded satisfactorily for your efforts.

If you're up against armored enemies like the Terminid Charger, you or one of your teammates can equip armor-piercing weapons like the AT-48 Recoilless Rifle or AC-8 Autocannon, which can be reloaded with the help of your teammates to keep fights going even more exciting.

Everything indicates that the game will undergo a big change compared to the previous part, which was released for PS3 and PS4, and everything indicates that it will achieve enormous popularity, just as happened with the previous title, and the game, in fact, will be released this year on PS5 without setting a specific date.
