I almost remember the day I was excited about the upcoming trailer for the already revealed Assassin's Creed series.. which contained a simple teaser accompanied by the series' wonderful music, specifically inspired by the sequel. But since then we haven't had any news.
And now it seems that there are setbacks in the series' production plan, as the series' screenwriter and general supervisor confirmed, “Jeb StewartCollider said he was no longer working on the project. When asked specifically about the reason for his complete departure from the project, Stewart said, "The reason is due to the difference in visions with the executives moving from Los Angeles to London, but now they are sticking to my vision of the series, not their own vision."
Stewart thinks everything that goes into the project is completely fair and he knows it’s going to be as good as he planned. And he thinks the guys at Ubisoft are great. “I think it’s a great series, it was just a good time to move forward for both sides.”
Stewart has been a part of many Hollywood films, including Die Hard, The Fugitive and 48 Hours. He is also the writer, executive producer and creator of Vikings: Valhalla, which is currently entering its second season. Meanwhile, Ubisoft has not commented on the future of the Assassin's Creed series, which is being produced in collaboration with Netflix.
Ubisoft is bringing us a lot of games in the series, the closest of which is the “Assassin's Creed Mirage” game, which is targeting later this year, along with the Jade title, which is targeting smartphones.
