IO Interactive has dropped out of sight after releasing the third and final installment of its hit game, Hitman. But that won't last long, especially since we have information about its next project.
IO Interactive, the developer of the Hitman series, is currently working on more than one project, including Project 007, which focuses on the James Bond character. There is also another unannounced project known as Project Dragon, which will apparently focus on multiplayer.
The development team has published a set of job postings seeking a monetization designer for an unannounced project focused on online multiplayer.
The term income systems refers to real-money purchasing systems. And with Project 007 being a story-driven single-player game, it seems the intended project is the aforementioned Project Dragon.
According to rumors, Project Dragon is a fantasy RPG that supports multiplayer or online co-op. It is supposedly in development exclusively for the Xbox.
The studio is known for its independence and the ability to publish its own games. Previously, specifically with the release of the second installment of the Agent 47 series, the studio intended to close its doors for good before obtaining a sum that would save it from closure and make it independent.
Do you hope the studio succeeds in developing a team-based game, especially since all of their previous projects have been completely linear? Share with us below in the comments section.
