We still have time to finish November's games so we can see The Callisto Protocol, which launches in less than a week. With the game's release just around the corner, we didn't know what was happening on Jupiter's moon, but we know that many monstrous fears await us, inspired by the "SpongeBob" cartoon series.
It sounds crazy to you, but it's true. I know we'd absolutely do this if we found a live-action version of SpongeBob SquarePants, but it's not his appearance that character design director Glauco Longhi of The Callisto Protocol was inspired by… it's his movements.
In an interview with GLHF via The Sun, Glauco Longhi explained that the team generally designed these monsters well because, for example, if they needed a crawling monster to pose a threat to the hero from everywhere, they would design it based on the nature of the studio's will, but sometimes they wanted to bring some ideas from unexpected places and businesses.
Some of the creatures came from an artistic perspective, and we said, "Hey, let's do something really crazy, then put it in the game and find a way to make it work." Even some of the animations and movements were inspired by SpongeBob.
One way or another, a million percent sure that we won't find any sea sponges, crabs or even any jellyfish, but in any case, the game modding community won't tire until they make the SpongeBob character himself look like a lonely nightmare in the Callisto Protocol.
As for the story... The events will take place in a prison called Black Iron, and the player will play as a character named "Jacob," a prisoner trying to escape after a series of terrifying events. In previous game reviews, we've noticed some clips that may indicate the game is going to outer space in some of its events.
