Speaking during an interview with a website, Choi Ji-won, the director of the upcoming Pinocchio-based game Lies of P, revealed that the development process is almost complete.

The director told 4Gamer that Lies of P completed 70% of the development process in August. But now the game has gone far beyond that. The game is now in the finishing stage and bugs have been removed, if any.

Previously, we attached news about the time needed to complete the game, for example, the main story will require 30 hours from the average player. The director also stated that there are an additional 30 hours as side missions, and therefore the time we will need for total completion is 60 hours of gameplay.

The director also mentioned that he was happy to compare his game to the aforementioned From Software title, but said that the experiences between the two titles are completely different, especially the stories and characters.

The game is set to release next year in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. You can see more about the game here. Where the development team Neowiz talked about why they chose the character Pinocchio in particular over other stories to tell in game form.

Now that we know that development is going well. Do you think the game will live up to other Soul Like games, especially since the recent gameplay videos promise so much?
