A leaker has claimed that development on STALKER 2 has been suspended immediately after the recent massive leaks appeared online. The source of this information is leaker Daniil Nexus, who is the first to speak about these new leaks.

Through an exclusive interview with this leaker, he confirmed that the developers at the GSC Game World studio made the decision to freeze work on the game following these leaks. He stated the following:

The development of the game was frozen after March 11th. The Russian interface cannot be abandoned at the moment due to the fact that there are simply no other languages in the game at the moment. All employees were denied access to the game materials. This happened after attrition and only a very small part of the team was able to access the game files.

Studio executives may now be trying to figure out who is behind these leaks. While Nexus defends itself that it is not the only source providing confidential data. Where it has not been indicated that the source of this information may be through one of the employees who work at the studio.

While STALKER 2 is expected to release this year, this leaker, who appears to be very familiar with the development process, believes it won't be released before the second half of 2024.

It is worth noting that the game's developer, GSC Game World Studio, was recently subjected to a hacking process, resulting in access to a large amount of data that was used to threaten the developer in order to meet the demands of the Russian community after the developer decided to remove the Russian language from the game and not market it there.

The statement was published on the VK.com website by the game's community, supported by a group of Russian hackers, in order to emphasize their demands, and to prove the validity of their claim, they attached several screenshots of an early version of the game that had not reached the Internet before.

The statement concluded that 30 gigabytes of data will be leaked, which includes a lot of information, images and videos from inside the STALKER 2 game, which will harm the game and the developer who has suffered a lot to achieve security, according to the statement.
