No one can deny Saints Row's underwhelming launch, not just for fans of the game, but also for developer Volition and publisher Deep Silver.
The game, despite a slow launch, managed to surpass one million players just over a month ago, and Deep Silver's parent company, Embracer Group, has made it clear that the open-world title has not lived up to expectations.
There have been some interesting developments behind the scenes that the game's developer is concerned about, and this has resulted in Embracer Group announcing that Volition, which had been working under the Deep Silver umbrella, will be working under the Gearbox Entertainment umbrella to "ensure the future success" of Volition.
The release of Saints Row didn't quite live up to expectations and left the fanbase somewhat polarized, but game development studio Volition is working hard to improve the player experience.
Financially, Saints Row performed in line with management’s expectations this quarter and going forward, Volition will transition to become part of Gearbox which has all the resources, including an experienced U.S.-based management team, to drive Volition’s future success.
Saints Row had a rather modest public reception, and reaped average ratings Because of the new direction that became a robot for the series, it retained some characteristics of the previous parts.
Despite all the problems, the Saints Row game managed to combine many elements in a very beautiful and fun way despite lacking some of them, but the series is known for its fun, sarcasm and a lot of joking between its tasks as well as its characters in addition to some gameplay elements, so we will mention for you the most important things that attracted us here.
Developer Volition recently released a major new update for its game, adding over 200 fixes to the game. Saints Row is available for PS5PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
