Minecraft's archaeology content is finally coming with update 1.20 after a 3-year wait

Does anyone remember the Minecraft archaeology content that was first announced 3 years ago? Maybe many don't remember, but the good thing now is that the developers at Mojang studio have confirmed that it will finally come to us in the new update 1.20.
Archaeology content or the world of archaeology was announced as part of the Caves & Cliffs content update in 2020. But after that the update was delayed and split into two parts. The developer announced that the archaeology content was frozen at that time, but the good news is that it was not canceled.
The developers confirmed in 2021 that they will bring content to the game in the future without setting dates or deadlines.
Minecraft Archaeology Content Is Coming in Update 1.20
Today, it seems that this date has become known and close. Where the developer announced that Minecraft's archaeology content will arrive in the game with update 1.20, which will be released later this year, 2023. But in case you want to try out the new content before this date, it has been confirmed that a beta version will be available. which will be released very soon.
Minecraft’s archaeology content is based around a new block called Shady Sand. Using a new “Brush” tool, you’ll be able to reveal what’s hidden inside these blocks. Rewards can include random items that you receive, as well as pottery shards, which can contain many individual patterns. Combine four pieces of your choice and you’ll have a stylish bowl with a custom design.
The developer will reveal more details about Minecraft Update 1.20, which will be released at a later date, but in the meantime, he's revealed some features like an "armor trim" system that will let you decorate any shield in the game with different colors and patterns for added visual excitement. The patterns are determined by blacksmithing ingots that you can find in hidden chests in certain areas, while the colors are determined by the materials — like turning iron into quartz — that you use to apply the trim.
