The Last of Us character Tommy has spoken about how far he will go back if there is a return to the series in Part 3.

In an interview with Total Film, he said Jeffrey Pearce Pearce, who played Tommy in the first and second installments of the game and played Berry in the series, discusses the future of his character in the game and what path we might see Tommy take if Naughty Dog completes the series with a third installment.

“I think one of the things I see in Neil Druckmann and the culture at Naughty Dog is that they've said very clearly, if we can't find the compelling stories to tell in this world, we don't care how much we lose to it, we're not going to – which is unheard of in this kind of day and age.

Pierce added that Tommy could have a lot to do during The Last of Us Part 3 if he were found, but keep in mind that he was seriously injured at the end of Part 2, and this will obviously limit his strength and capabilities. However, this also won't prevent him from playing an effective role in the new installment, and we don't know what he might be like.

It is worth noting that there are many reports coming from some informed sources that talked about the presence of the third part in development, but in the last meeting with Drukma he hinted that the decision had not yet been made whether they would complete a third part or they would stop at the end of the second part, which he also finds convincing.

Remember that Pierce plays the role of Perry in the series The Last of Us, which airs every Monday at dawn on HBO and OSN.
