2K Games has yet to announce NBA 2K24, but there is a leaked gameplay presentation indicating the presence of cross-play in the next game in the famous basketball series.
Due to the game's presence on all current-generation devices, it seems that the application of this feature will be something quite necessary for players, but we do not know if the PC platform will be among the current-generation platforms that will receive this feature.
For the past two years, 2K Games has been releasing PC versions of the series as last-gen versions, and whether the company plans to do the same with NBA 2K24 will be met with plenty of controversy.
NBA 2K games have always received mixed reviews on Steam due to this issue, treating PCs as old-gen devices and not keeping pace with current-gen platforms, even though high-end PCs are capable of beating current-gen platforms with minimal effort. But the reason for this is, of course, the developer's failure to adapt to open-source platforms, such as the ease of development on consoles, and this can eventually lead to technical errors if PCs are treated like PS5s and Xbox Series.
It's possible that 2K Games will reveal NBA 2K24 during the next week, and this expectation stems from the company's timing in revealing its basketball game, which is usually in the second half of July.
