Google announced earlier this year its intention to shut down its Stadia service, as the service is set to close its doors on January 18, 2023. After this date, no player or subscriber will have access to its library of games.

The company has confirmed that it is fully willing to refund all subscription money and the device itself. Any games and additional content purchased from the Stadia store will also count towards the refund list. It is assumed that all users of the platform will have received their money as of November 9, 2022, but what is the fate of the current Google Stadia console with its wireless controller?

In good news for console owners, Google has announced that the console will have a tool available next week to enable Bluetooth connections for the Stadia controller, in order to be compatible with various other devices and benefit from it on other consoles, or the other on the PC platform or even Smartphone or tablet.

At the moment, the details of how this tool works are still unknown at this point, so console owners will have to wait a little longer to see how it works or how it works.
