We have not cancelled any games on PlayStation

Microsoft was quick to respond to news of the cancellation of the PS5 version of Redfall, stating that it has not canceled work on any games for the PlayStation platform.
It's worth noting that Redfall was originally scheduled to launch on PS5, according to the director of Arkane Studio, which is responsible for the game's development. It was stated that the release was canceled after a period of unannounced work due to Microsoft's acquisition of the studio and its parent company.
It seems Microsoft's response came without delay, as stated in a report broadcast by Eurogamer:
In fact, the platform holder believes it has actually expanded our footprint of games we've released on Sony's PlayStation since the ZeniMax acquisition, and the first two games we released after the lockout were PlayStation 5 exclusives.
Here, of course, he's referring to Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo, as the report goes on to discuss how Microsoft hasn't canceled any pre-existing Bethesda games on PS5 and PS4 since acquiring Bethesda, and content updates continue to arrive for both PS5 and PS4.
This is in response to Harvey Smith, creative director at Arkane Studio, claiming that a PS5 version of Redfall was in development a year before Microsoft acquired the company. It was revealed earlier this week that after Microsoft acquired Bethesda, the company said, "No PS5," because it's focusing on the Xbox, PC, and Game Pass versions.
However, when Microsoft talks about expanding its gaming footprint, it seems to make perfect sense. Sony had exclusivity agreements with Bethesda before being acquired by Microsoft, so Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo would have ended up being PlayStation exclusives. From Microsoft's perspective, its agreement to acquire Bethesda has nothing to do with this.
