Thousands of players claim that their accounts were wrongly banned in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 following the game's launch last Friday, October 28.

According to emails sent by Activision, most of these bans were due to the use of “unauthorized software” and “manipulation of game data.”

Surveys conducted by players about faulty bans in Battlefield 2042 earlier this year indicated that around 90% of users are using some non-influential software.

These closures have affected many players mainly on the PC platform, where modified consoles from official companies are used and they need to install their own applications to explore all their features.

Of course, these applications and accessories have no effect on the game system in Modern Warfare 2, but it seems that the anti-cheat system treats them as unknown external applications and therefore the accounts you use are closed.

As the media claims Tom Henderson In the meantime, it is advisable to remove some applications used with the control panel or mouse, such as Logitech G Hub, iCUE, Afterburner, Razer Synapse 3 and others, so that they are not treated by the in-game cheat system as cheat applications and your account will be blocked forever.

If you are a player who has been banned, it is best to send a direct message to Activision support, attaching the system on which you received the ban, any software you have installed if you are playing on PC, and mentioning any activity you have conducted that Activision may consider to be against their terms of service.

Accusations of false COD bans are not new, with a petition on charge.org during the launch of COD Modern Warfare 2019 garnering over 30,000 signatures for Activision to explain the unjustified ban, we hope the matter is resolved as soon as possible.
