Konami has started warning about the emergence of some fake corporate identity fraud websites asking players to share their eFootball 2023 accounts or some sensitive data.

Through the company's official website, Konami shared a warning message about these sites, with some examples and ways to identify them. The company confirmed that many users have fallen victim to these sites and applications, as they have completely lost their accounts in the eFootball game.

According to what was said on the official website, Konami has made it clear that these sites and apps intend to offer free eFootball coins, points and GP to attract players, and once you register by providing account details such as username, password, email and phone number, where the control lies entirely with the user's account.

Konami has made it clear that all its activities are carried out through the identification link “https://www.konami.com”, with checking the letters and pronunciation of the words. And other links are fake and often for fraud purposes.

Capcom has explained several methods used in fraud operations that many eFootball 2023 players fall victim to, which are as follows:

Fake eFootball 2023 Websites and Apps:

  • Websites designed in the same format as the official website and which request personal information.
  • Sites that ask you to enter your information, such as eFootball Coins, GP, eFootball Points, players and competitions/campaigns you are participating in.
  • Applications other than those provided by Konami that require input of personal information.

Konami also published some of the experiences of eFootball 2023 users who were exposed to scams through fake websites, which were as follows:

Fraud: I registered my username to receive a gift of 500 coins for everyone who registered with KONAMI ID on a fake eFootball advertisement disguised as an official website posted through SNS advertisements, and my account was stolen.

Konami also referred to the exchange or sharing of information to transfer data or link data between friends and acquaintances as such actions were included among the prohibited acts. If an action is found to violate the Terms of Service, a severe penalty such as account suspension may be applied. If your account is suspended, you will not be able to continue playing with that account.

In the end, Konami advised players to pay attention to account management so that the user does not engage in prohibited actions or be lured into prohibited actions through friends, social media, fake ads, etc.
