Since the first announcement of Death Stranding 2, Kojima has talked about his game to a lot of media or even private tweets. We know that this project is not the only one that Kojima has at the moment, but it is the most important to him.

In a recent interview with Kojima by IGN, the interview created an aspect to discuss the Corona pandemic experienced by all humans and its difficulty in the gaming industry in general and Kojima Productions in particular. Kojima said in the interview that he rewrote Death Stranding 2 to be as objective as possible, due to the suffering of billions of people on Earth over the past two years.

The Japanese developer's words described the difficulty of human beings to somehow forget all of this, but on the other hand, the game's characters are not forced to know about the pandemic and live our reality. Kojima thinks with his words that we are forced to remember our reality in a normal way or in a fun way, like Death Stranding 2, which discusses some things inspired by the pandemic.

He also added that some stories inspired by the pandemic do not need to receive strong criticism. It seems that the studio's impact on Corona was extremely strong, along with the industry, which was affected by the lack of stock in the markets, whether of physical games or current-gen platforms like PlayStation or Xbox.

The developer has other projects in development and one of them is the alleged title Overdose, which we heard rumors about being a game produced by a partnership between Microsoft and Kojima Productions.
