Veteran Japanese developer Hideo Kojima is considered the godfather of the famous Metal Gear Solid action-espionage series in all its instalments, and we were about to experience a new installment of the famous Silent Hill horror title if he hadn't left publisher Konami.
In recent years, many rumors have circulated about Kojima's return to develop a new installment in the Metal Gear Solid series, most of which have been related to him returning to complete development of Silent Hill or working with Sony on a new installment of it.
But it seems that Kojima has begun to complain about the large number of these rumors, which emerged during his last interview with him on IGN, where he spoke about the most important projects of the studio Kojima Productions in the future, in which he directly insinuated that they avoid working on any projects belonging to other companies. Focusing on a product that makes an impact rather than primarily seeking financial profits, he added:
Kojima Productions is not a publicly traded company. I cannot use that to my advantage. I have a clear stance on video game development, which is to leave behind good work, diversify the studio's visual projects, and we will stop doing projects licensed by other companies, and will follow our principles of focusing only on our own original projects.
In any case, these statements come despite the fact that he previously shared a tweet with us through his account, through which he expressed his great desire to work on the Metal Gear Solid title and everything related to the series, as he wrote on Twitter, where he said via Twitter, “7 years have passed.. I miss everything.” Attached is a video from the series.
