The Nintendo Switch is back at the forefront of the Japanese market's sales landscape again, and this time it has surpassed 9 titles for the device, joined by Sony's exclusive Horizon Forbidden West game. With PS5 sales surging.

According to Japanese magazine Famitsu, the game “Pokémon Crimson & Crimson” ranked first in sales in the Japanese market during the last week of November. As the game managed to sell 577,279 copies in that period. This brings the total sales of the Nintendo title to more than 3,114,571 copies worldwide.

Nintendo games thus maintain their dominance in the Japanese market, as Splatoon 3 took second place as the best-selling title, after having occupied the first place in the Japanese market during the past week. Followed by other titles from the same platform in third and fourth places, which are Minecraft Switch Edition and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

In fifth place, Sony exclusive Horizon Forbidden West is back in the running once again, taking the fifth spot. Of course, what helped with that is the PlayStation 5 bundle that comes with it. The game sold around 112,333 units during the last week of this month.

The strange thing is that the recently released God of War Ragnarok completely disappeared from the top advanced positions in Japanese sales, and Nintendo Switch Sports, Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Momotaro Dentetsu. Finally, Kirby and the Forgotten Lan, which occupied all the last positions, but at the top of sales in the Japanese market.

When it comes to home consoles, the OLED version of the Nintendo Switch once again came out on top. It was followed by the PlayStation 5, which came in second, although the numbers indicate a strong recovery in sales of the device.
