In the game God of War Ragnarok, the player will go through many interesting adventures, whether in the sense of going through the main story or in the sense of doing the secondary missions, which were the best so far, according to critics.

During the game's side missions, one of the game's workers is honored, Jake Snipes, a former programmer at Santa Monica Studios whose developer died two years before the game's release. This was confirmed by a tweet from fellow developer Sam Handrick, and the news was shared by IGN. Sam Handrick wrote:

There's something about God of War Ragnarok that's very special to me, and I brought it to the game and team exactly as I had hoped. I was hoping to wait a bit to talk about it, but I wanted to share it now, just in case.

Those who travel the world of God of War Ragnarok may have noticed the first signs of a side quest by green hearts drawn on rocks throughout the kingdoms, its origin and mission beginning with an idea formed years ago by Handrick and Snipes.

Developer Snipes passed away in 2020, and once Handrick was able to return to work, he decided to make God of War Ragnarok all that Snipes was worth and wanted Snipes' memory to live on forever in the game.

Handrick decided to ask the director of God of War if it would be possible to design a memorial for his deceased teammate in the game, which was received positively by the director.
