As Stadia fans mourn the loss of Google’s own cloud streaming platform, Nvidia has introduced several new features for GeForce Now for Chrome users. Starting today, anyone who subscribes to the RTX 3080 GeForce Now tier will be able to stream their favorite PC games in up to 1600p at 120fps in the Chrome browser — up from 1440p at 120fps.
This will allow people using devices with a resolution of 2560×1600 (like the 2020 M1 MacBook Air) to play games in fullscreen mode in the Chrome browser, regardless of resolution or frame rate. The RTX 3080 tier of Nvidia’s GeForce Now streaming platform launched last year and brings AI upscaling with DLSS and maximum streaming at 4K resolution at 60fps with HDR capabilities. A subscription costs $19.99 per month or $199.99 for six months.
Nearly 1,400 PC games are available in the GeForce Now library, and new ones are frequently added to the service. Here are 11 new additions coming to GeForce Now this week:
- Asterigos: Curse of the Stars
- Kamiwaza: Path of the Thief
- LEGO Bricktales
- Ozymandias: Bronze Age Empire Sim
- PC Building Simulator 2
- The Last Orisha
- Rabbids: Party of Legends
- The Darkest Tales
- Contempt
- Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
- double universe
