Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil Showcase, which will showcase titles from the upcoming series, will air next Thursday, October 20, 2022.
It is reported that the Japanese publisher has confirmed the existence of the event since last month, but today the date and time of the start of the live broadcast were confirmed, as we will be on a date with a review of Resident Evil 4 Remake and other games in the series in exactly one hour. 1:00 After midnight on Thursday and Friday.
The event will be streamed live on the official Resident Evil YouTube and Twitch channels.
Earlier last month, Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil 4 Remake is also coming to PlayStation 4, with a new trailer coming next month. That means we'll get our first look at the game in action on Sony's previous device during this event next Thursday.
The event will mainly focus on the review of the fourth part of the remake, as well as the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition game, which will bring many additions to the game, including support for the third perspective, additional story content and the new mercenary mode.
The word “more..” was also mentioned during the Resident Evil Showcase announcement, and this could be an indication that we may get an announcement of a new installment coming to the series, perhaps Resident Evil 9, and it could be a re-release of one of the previous installments. (We really hope so..)
We can't say for sure at this point, although there's not much between now and next Thursday, so keep an eye on the VGA4A website for the latest news and details first.
