Konami has revealed the roadmap for the eFootball 2023 game, which will continue until the end of this year with the launch of eFootball 2024 with update 3.0.0.

Konami recently released eFootball 2023 update 2.6.0 for all platforms and smartphones. The new update brings a lot of additions, events, and changes that we have collected for you in the form of bullet points here.

Roadmap for updates from eFootball 2023 to eFootball 2024

During the year 2023, the game update plan has been divided into 3 sections, which are the Spring Update, Summer Update, and the Fall Update, which will include update #3.0.0 as it should bring us to the entire new version.

spring update

  • extra player slot
  • Add player skills to existing players
  • contract renewal

The eFootball 2023 Spring Update brings a highly anticipated feature: the option to purchase additional player slots. This is especially useful for players with large rosters who have had limited slot availability. The details of unlocking these slots are still unclear, whether with GP Coins or eFootball Coins.

The decision to remove skill tokens from the game has received criticism from players who appreciated the additional abilities they provided, which were widely used in PES 2021 to enhance player skills. Hopefully, these tokens will be reintroduced to the game this time around.

However, it is unclear whether the previous format will be preserved or a new system will be introduced. Ideally, players will be able to choose the specific skill that best suits their needs, as opposed to the previous random allocation system.

The challenge of obtaining contract renewal tickets has been a point of contention for players. These tickets are rare and offer limited stretches. Given the many legendary players whose contracts have expired, addressing this issue is crucial. Therefore, the Spring Update included plans for contract renewal tickets, as well as additional renewal items.

Summer update

  • Reset Progress Points
  • More alternatives for the dream team

The 2023 Summer Update brings an interesting feature that allows players to reset their GP progression points and reallocate them at will. This is something that has left many players excited and very excited to have this feature in the game.

Currently, eFootball 2023 is limited to a maximum of seven players, meaning the options are predetermined by the managers. Thankfully, an update is planned for this summer to allow for more alternatives to be added to the Dream Team.

eFootball 2023 Autumn Update and eFootball 2024 Update

Konami recently revealed some details about eFootball update #3.0.0, which is expected to bring the game to the next version in 2024. While we shared some other details related to transfers, players, and finally the release date.

Chegada da Master League do eFootball 2023 Roadmap

The update that will transfer the game from eFootball 2023 to eFootball 2024 will be released, starting from the period after mid-August (8) and early September (9) of this year 2023.

Despite this, we still don't know much about the details of the content that the game will bring us, as there are still many stages of the game that Konami promised and has not yet brought.

Master League Game Mode

One of the features that is still missing from the eFootball 2023 game is the Master League game mode, which should have been present in the game from day one of its launch. This mode is an alternative to the Career Mode that we saw in the PES series. Despite the complaints from players that have been going on for a long time, Konami is still keeping quiet about when it will arrive.

Konami previously confirmed that Master League mode will be coming to eFootball in 2023, but no further updates have been provided on the matter until today.

Edit mode

Edit mode allows players to customize the game by adding their own touches. This much-appreciated feature allows for a more realistic football experience, especially since Konami doesn't own licenses for every team or league in the world.

Cross-play support

There are many features that Konami can add to the eFootball game with the update to the 2024 version, with emphasis on the possibility of cross-platform play, whether for home devices or the smartphone version.

This feature, if added and the balance is struck in terms of cross-system compatibility, will represent a quantum leap in the types of challenges online players will face.

We also hope that Konami will bring more new teams to the game, obtaining more licenses for club names, teams and even stadiums.

We'll update this report as soon as we get new information about the Fall Update, which we expect to reveal in the coming weeks.
