EA Motive's recently announced Iron Man is still a long way off, but the developers are already sharing their vision for the ambitious project, and so players shouldn't expect the title to rely too heavily on existing Marvel games, or even other RPGs on the market.
EA Motive Studio General Manager confirmed in his recent interview with EurogamerPatrick Klaus said the game is in pre-production, as the team that helped put it together is still in the studio. The process of creating something as big as this is also a bit daunting due to the expectations of millions of fans.
Initial Game Details Iron Man EA’s Motive is extremely rare, but the developers have previously revealed that it will tell a “new Iron Man story” and that the game is “really exciting.” Just think of a better version of BioWare’s Anthem and Marvel’s Avengers with an emphasis on narrative, cutscenes, and player freedom, and try to argue that you don’t like that kind of thing. But Motive doesn’t want you to imagine how you’d play Iron Man based on what’s already available. Now that it’s out in the wild, the idea is to offer something truly special.
The game needs to be big, it needs to be innovative, it needs to have a compelling narrative, we need time to experiment with certain things and make sure we have a creative vision and a creative direction that is fresh and unique and has different features compared to some other Marvel games or current RPGs, that's a big focus before we move into production.
Marvel fans should keep in mind that the title is years away from us, there is a very optimistic report from Microsoft that both Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine could arrive next year.
