Dead by Daylight's new content, "The Knight," was released a few days ago. The most important feature of this addition is that it will include two new characters from the past, The Knight and Vittorio Toscano. Behavior Interactive shared the details with us via Epic. On how to survive in Dead by Daylight: The Knight.

As a great leader and powerful warrior, The Knight brings a unique element to The Fog: he doesn't act alone. Supported by three loyal Guardians who share his dark disposition to inflict pain, the Survivors must face multiple threats simultaneously—at least for a while.

Make sure you get to know these Guardians, as well as the Knight himself, soon, and that starts with knowing their names. One of them was called Carnifex—the big, hideous-looking giant machete. The other is called the Assassin, whom you can recognize by his bald head, leather armor, and pointed dagger. Finally, there's The Jailer, whose spiked helmet, bulletproof vest, and chain with a wrecking ball allude to his personality.

While facing the Knight is unfamiliar for the first few times, things can escalate quickly when the Guardians enter the game. Even experienced players aren't used to having two assassins chasing them, and their dribbling skills will certainly be tested like never before.

Know your enemy

The Knight's power is to create rotating paths within a limited distance. Once created, one of the Knight's three guards will begin patrolling. If they can see him at any time, they will alert the Knight and pursue him. This can be dangerous—especially if the Knight is also nearby.

The Knight can also use his power to order his guards to damage generators and break platforms. If you happen to see a Ranger participating in one of these actions, the Knight's power will be on cooldown, so you won't have to worry about the patrol's path. At least for a while.

If you're being chased and encounter one of the Knight's Patterns—essentially a banner—you can remove it to completely eliminate the patrol path and gain a significant speed boost in the process. The pattern can also be removed by unlocking a survivor, so a selfless mindset will be mutually beneficial. Try to anticipate which areas the Knight might try to close off. If you ever see a wounded teammate being chased by a guard, there's no better time for a protective attack.

It's important to remember that the assassin player must create their own periodic paths, during which they will be recognized by a visible path. Spawners will likely be one of your top priorities, especially if they're a priority for you and your teammates. If you haven't seen a guard in a while, be careful when returning to this spawn.

THE PRIVILEGES OF THE KNIGHT

While all Assassins can benefit from a wide range of gameplay perks, you'll likely encounter the Knight's perks quite frequently—especially during the early days when players are familiar with them.

The first of these perks is Nowhere to Hide, a feature that will quickly become the bane of aspiring stealth masters everywhere. If the Knight destroys a generator, he'll see the aura of every survivor in his immediate vicinity. Keep this in mind the next time you try to hide behind a nearby tree branch, because if it's angled directly at you, you can bet it's equipped with the Nowhere to Hide feature.

The second perk is Hex: Face the Darkness. If you're unfamiliar with Hex perks, you can identify them by a glowing Hex Totem, which should be removed. In some cases where Face the Darkness is included, Hex perks can be bound to specific survivors. When the Knight inflicts damage on you, you'll be afflicted with the curse, causing all your teammates outside the killer's terrifying perimeter to scream intermittently.

If you're among the screamers and can't quickly find the Hex Totem, the spooky ocean. This way, you can avoid appearing on the Knight's radar—after all, a screaming Survivor is an ideal target.

And your third perk is Hubris, a menacing perk that makes the chase even more deadly. The perk is simple—when you stun the killer, you'll take damage for a short but difficult amount of time. If you're unfamiliar with the mechanics of taking damage, this essentially means you're vulnerable to a single hit.

With this ability's game-changing potential, Knight players can try to force the stun and take advantage of the damage condition. This allows you to dismiss platforms early or take a hit if your HP is full. The speed boost you receive when injured can allow you to reach safety and spread out your recovery.
