Developer Quantum Error blames Xbox Series X for delaying its launch.

Quantum Error has recently gained notoriety as one of the few indie titles that feels like it's testing and playing a big-budget game. While it's been confirmed to be released this year, it hasn't yet been given a specific release date, and the reason for that is the Xbox Series X, as its developer claims.

One of the players lost control and asked a question Quantum Error Twitter Account about its release date. The team responded that they will soon announce everything related to the game, including a new offer, information, more, release date, etc., but it needs a little more time than expected due to the game being set on the Xbox Series X.

According to the team, everything related to the development of the PS5 version of the game has ended due to the speed of its SSD. While the Xbox Series X has a slower SSD than the PlayStation 5, and that is why the game developers have encountered an obstacle that has not been taken into account and therefore the announcement of the release date has been delayed, as we will see below.

Of course, TeamKill, the game's developer, didn't address this to stir up controversy in this regard. The PS5's SSD offers raw read speeds of 5.5GB/s, while the Xbox Series X/S only have the equivalent of 2.4GB/s. There aren't many games that actually use the PS5's faster SSD to its fullest, but if they do, the switch to the Xbox could be a bit of a struggle.

another fan asked When asked if TeamKill would use Microsoft's DirectStorage technology to simplify the download, they responded that they would "try everything they can" without confirming or denying the news.

Quantum Error doesn't have a release date yet, but we may have more information and a release date soon.
