Although the second part of the most popular Star Wars game series, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, has not yet been released and has been delayed for a few more months, the developer has started thinking and expressing his desire to work on the third part.
Game director Stig Asmussen, speaking during an interview with IGN, said that he and the rest of the development team at Respawn Entertainment have been discussing the future of the series since the release of the first installment in 2019, and where that might take them with the future of the game's hero Cal Kestis. He continued by saying:
We've already talked about the sequel, so where do we go with the second game?
I've always wanted to see this trilogy. How can we take Cal and his team to new places beyond what we were doing in the first game?
The game director added that if this happens and we start working on the third part of the series, Star Wars Jedi will use the world-famous development engine Unreal Engine 5, as the second part, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, was developed using the development engine Unreal Engine 4.
In any case, we remind our followers that the hero of the upcoming game, Cal, has become more experienced and skilled than the last part in fights and confrontations. The game's graphics and environmental details have also become better, as well as new weapons, moves, and laser swords.
The game was scheduled to release on March 16, but the game's developer, Respawn, confirmed that they have decided to delay the game to April 18, 2023. Survivor will feature the fast travel feature between worlds and regions in the game as "quickly moving from point A to B" unlike the previous installment, which lacked this.
