It's been a while since we've had any official news or footage about one of the most anticipated Xbox exclusives, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, but the developer seems to have a lot in store for us, and Phil Spencer's recent visit to the Ninja Theory studio will be something of a thrill for fans.
Just moments ago, Microsoft exclusive developer Ninja Theory and next-gen Unreal Engine 5 developer Epic Games gave us a new look at Hellblade 2's facial animation technology at the GDC 2023 developer expo.
Through the simple analysis we have obtained, we are fully aware that the game will provide a visual experience that surpasses what we obtained in the first part, as the engine raises the standards of character design and the movement system to another level, exploiting the MetaHumans technology provided in the Unreal Engine.
He said Big Kim He is Epic's chief technology officer during the review:
This cloud-hosted tool lets you create realistic digital people for your game or experience, with the simplicity of an RPG character generator, but with a level of realism and customization you've never seen before.
Ninja Theory performance capture artist Melina Jürgens went on to explain to the audience how this technology allows users to create highly accurate digital humans at great speed and continued:
This is one of my favorite lines from Ninja Theory's upcoming game, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and I really hope you enjoy it.
Either way, it seems like Xbox fans are in for a treat with fully exploiting the powerful capabilities of the Xbox Series X, and seeing graphics and technologies that will leave them completely satisfied with their devices, but since the game was first revealed in 2019, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 has not gotten a release date, despite reviewing the game on more than one occasion over the past few years.
