Still one of the most popular and influential games for those who weren't around in 2001, Metal Gear Solid 2 is the work of veteran Kojima.

When the game was released, it caused a sensation among the media and gamers, as it was a masterpiece ahead of its time when it was released, featuring graphics and features that were the first to appear in a video game. The game introduced gameplay mechanics in an environment with an unprecedented level of interaction and realism. Not to mention the game's story, which tackled thorny political issues that most games had not dared to address before.

The game was released in November 2001 exclusively on the PlayStation 2. A more expanded version called Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance was later released. A few years later, it was released on PC and then on other home consoles in the form of the HD Collection.

It's been over 20 years since the game was released. Despite this, the game has gained a special camera setup that transforms it into a third-person perspective. Originally, it featured a dynamic overhead view and multiple angles, depending on the area the character is in.

Created by modder "oct0xor," this mod reverse-engineered a camera pose. It also rewrote many aspects of the game engine. The result, as you can see, is impressive, despite the original game's camera not being faulty, but the modification will bring it up to speed with modern games so new players can embrace it.
