Moments ago, Xbox gamers received some sad news that will be implemented in the coming weeks, as full support for CrossfireX is set to be discontinued.
The team shooter CrossfireX was one of the biggest hopes for it to last for many years and be able to compete with Counter-Strike, since the game was presented by two different studios, the first and main one is Smilegate, which worked on team mode, and the second is Remedy Studio, which worked on multiplayer mode. the story.
But apparently, the game's poor player turnout since its launch, and many unresolved issues in the game, have led to the game reaching the end of its life cycle less than a year after its official and exclusive release on the current and previous Xbox platforms. The developer ended up describing the game as not being where it needed to be.
The multiplayer phase will not be the only victim that will be stopped, but also the single-player phase developed by Remedy, and the decision will come into effect from May 18, 2023, and thus the CrossfireX game will completely disappear from existence.
The developer's statement provided instructions for players on the mechanism to stop the game and the method to return the money, as shown below.
