Modern Warfare 2 cross-play is unstoppable on PC and XBOX

Xbox and PC players have just discovered that they cannot disable cross-play in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Activision's Modern Warfare 2 launches this Friday morning, with PlayStation players able to toggle cross-play on or off. Xbox and PC gamers aren't happy about this.
There are a few reasons why Xbox players might want to disable cross-play, such as trying to stay away from computer cheats (hackers), or simply console players being able to play with PC players when just the keyboard is pressed.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players on Xbox and PC are finding they can't disable crossplay in the game's settings. The toggle is there on PlayStation, though 🤦♂️ full details here: https://t.co/KsHuGsBPTD pic.twitter.com/LXp0NDk5ob

It’s nothing new for the COD title, as Xbox players are still frustrated with forced play in Call of Duty: Warzone. There are ways to get around this in the Xbox system settings, but they don’t always work, and Xbox players often find themselves experiencing long wait times to join players instead of signing in like the Playstation platform.
While players experienced a 40 GB update on day one before they started playing, shortly after day one, the total size of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 increased significantly and according to reports, the data size is now around 152 GB. And with everything we have seen, we have not seen any improvement in this.
Many players have reached out to Activision about this forced cross-play before and the discrepancies between Xbox and PlayStation, but the company has yet to comment, but don't worry.
