Dead Space creator kicks things off and talks about EA's upcoming remake. Glen Scofield He said he wished the development team the best, but if it were up to him, he wouldn't have done it.
Glen recently gave an interview to Inverse about his upcoming game, The Callisto Protocol. The game is approaching its release, which will coincide with the beginning of next December, but during the interview, the director was asked about his previous game, Dead Space, and the idea of coming a premiere from the studio EA Motive.
EA has a sad history with the original developers of the upcoming remake. How could it not have fired all the game's employees and deepened its wounds by closing the studio for good? But when Glenn was asked about the remake, he responded with the following sportsmanship:
I wish you the best ever andHonestly, if it were up to me, I wouldn't remake the game.
I'm happy for them, but I'm not going. I want to move on and do something new. Dead space is a thing of the past.
The gaming community and when the remake was announced, it was believed that Glenn was involved in the development of the game, but he repeated more than once that he had no involvement in the project. On the other hand, the development team revealed a first look at the gameplay of the remake, which you can watch below.
The game will run in One Shot from start to finish. This means that we will only see the loading screens appear in one case and that is when you are eliminated by the Necromorphs. Of course, you won't have to wait long to get back into the game, thanks to the speed of the next-gen platforms..!
The remake will be released on the new-generation PS5 and Xbox Series platforms only on January 27, 2023, while pre-orders are already available on all platforms.
