The controller is equipped with HyperSense haptic feedback, and many will be happy with the 3.5mm headphone jack. Together, the main unit and controller weigh 400.8g.

The Edge console will initially only be available in the US. It comes preloaded with the Epic Games, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and NVIDIA GeForce Now launchers. You can also access Steam Link, Moonlight, and Parsec.

Razer Edge

The 5G version of the Razer Edge is currently exclusive to Verizon. Its price and exact release date will be confirmed at a later date, but it’s expected to be in January – around the same time the Wi-Fi model launches. The latter will cost $400 and will be available on Razer’s website and in-store at RazerStore. The console can be pre-ordered with a refundable $5 deposit. Razer hasn’t announced pricing or availability for the Kishi V2 Pro standalone controller.

The Razer Edge console is the next in a series of portable devices focused on cloud gaming. The Logitech G Cloud Gaming handheld console, priced at US$$ 350, with more modest connectivity, will be available in the coming days. Last week, Google announced three Chromebooks from Acer, ASUS, and Lenovo that are also designed for game streaming.

The Edge was far from Razer's only announcement at RazerCon. Along with the Kraken Kitty V2 Pro wired headset (with interchangeable bunny, bear, and cat ears and Chroma RGB lighting) and a few other devices, the company showed off its Hammerhead HyperSpeed headsets.
